Why did HouseCanary file for Chapter 11? HouseCanary filed voluntarily to protect the value of its business for customers, partners, and employees while it addresses its financial obligations through a court-supervised process.
Is HouseCanary still operating? Yes. On September 24, the court heard, with no objection, a financing plan and reorganization for HouseCanary, which anticipates the company emerging from bankruptcy within 60 days with all creditors paid in full.
I'm a HouseCanary customer. Does anything change for me? No. HouseCanary's valuations, data, analytics, APIs and support continue without interruption. Account contacts remain the same, and customers do not need to take any action.
Is the listings distribution program continuing? Yes. HouseCanary's listings distribution program continues without interruption, and HouseCanary remains committed to working with MLSs nationwide. MLSs and brokerages do not need to take any action. Under the protection provided by this bankruptcy, HouseCanary expects no data-feed interruptions.
I'm a vendor or supplier. Will I be paid? HouseCanary intends to pay vendors and suppliers in the ordinary course for goods and services.
